Manchester City are preparing a sensational £45 million January swoop for Tottenham midfielder Gareth Bale, Goal.com UK can reveal.
City have started putting together a player-exchange package for the converted midfielder, who has become one of the most sought-after talents in Europe following his magnificent form in 2010.
City are desperate to rid their wage bill of high-earning fringe players such as Emmanuel Adebayor and Joleon Lescott, who are likely to be offered to Spurs plus cash in return for Bale.
But White Hart Lane sources insist the Londoners will batten down the hatches and are confident they can fight off any interest in their prize asset from the club funded by Abu Dhabi’s billions.
“There is more chance of us getting relegated this season than selling Gareth Bale,” said one Spurs insider. “Don’t worry, he is going nowhere.”
The club’s confidence derives from their expectation that the 21-year-old will soon sign a whopping new contract that insiders believe could be the most lucrative in the club’s history.
Bale where got so cheap ????
those Arab raghead goons must at least part with half the oilfields of Abu Dhabi to buy Bale.............
and also his annual salary must be worth half the GDP of UAE.................
after all........we're talking about a player that's better than 10 Maradonas and 10 Messis put together...........
with Bale around............city can win EVERYTHING with just 9 men on the field..............no need goalkeeper even.....
lescott?
please lah, city.
he is over rated and over priced.
Come on man. Is not worth so much. Every dogs has its day. so maybe Bale have more days then others.
tottenham wont sell,+ i dont think bale want to go.
man city are crazy, frankly speaking he might be just 1 season wonder performance kinda of player.
Bale may have improved recently but he's far from being a complete player. Still need to develop. So moving to a club like Cit would be a bad idea as he'd get lost in rotation. Instead, he should stay where he is and focus on honing his skills first.

Hone his skills until one day Real madrid come knocking, that's the right time to leave, right?
