Sunday's Scottish Premier League programme has been wiped out by severe weather conditions, but Newcastle v Chelsea goes ahead in England.
The SPL match between Dundee United and Rangers at Tannadice, scheduled to take place at noon, was subject to an 8am pitch inspection.
A statement on Dundee United's official website confirmed: "Today's match has been called off due to the severe weather conditions overnight and this morning."
Later in the morning, a Motherwell club official said their match against Hearts had been called off too because of safety fears over the approach roads around Fir Park.
However, Newcastle's Premier League fixture at home to Chelsea will go ahead despite heavy snow around St James' Park.
Fans heading to the game on Tyneside have been urged to start their journey to the ground as early as possible and use public transport if possible.
North of the border, the Scottish Football Association had worked furiously all week to ensure all SPL games would go ahead despite strike action from Scottish referees threatening the fixture card.
But, after drafting in foreign match officials for the weekend, Sunday's games fell victim to the weather instead.
According to Rangers, "snow overnight made the pitch at Tannadice unplayable and driving conditions treacherous".
With injury to several key players and following a tough midweek defeat to Manchester United in the Champions League, Rangers may welcome the free weekend.
However, Sunday's postponement denies the Scottish champions the opportunity to stretch their lead at the top of the SPL to five points after Celtic were held to a 2-2 draw by Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
