Chelsea sporting director Frank Arnesen will leave his post at the end of the season, the Premier League club said on its website.
Arnesen has overseen Chelsea’s youth development and academy since joining the club from Tottenham in 2005. He also coordinates first-team activities and works with manager Carlo Ancelotti.
“We have a great crop of young players now coming through, and I feel it’s the right time for me to start looking towards a new challenge,” Arnesen said on the Chelsea website.

The keyword in his question is "great".
I believe only Terry falls into this category. McEachran is only 17 and plays occasionally as substitute and wouldn't get his chance if not because of injuries and suspensions to players like Lampard, Essien and Mikel.
youth development?
i dont see any at all. dont they sign youths from overseas?

He played a fair bit of minutes compared to overrated Youths like Kakuta & even Sturridge.
He figured in the plans much more than anyother youngsters.
He is only 17, putting him straight into the XI will only give him more pressure which inturn will cause him to flop instead.
John Terry also emerged because of injuried at the defence, isn't it?

Majority of the youths in big clubs are all signed from England or overseas as well. But you gotta know that England players are just probably not that good compared to the overseas imports.
