Ajax are under pressure to take disciplinary action against their striker Luis Suárez after television images appeared to show him biting the PSV Eindhoven midfielder Otman Bakkal in Saturday's 0-0 draw in the Eredivisie.
The referee did not see the incident in injury time and Suárez was not punished, but he could still face sanctions from the league based on video images.
The Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf called Suárez the "Cannibal of Ajax" in today's edition and called for his club and the Holland Football Federation to take action.
Suárez was one of the stars of the World Cup with three goals, but he also faced harsh criticism for his handball on the line that effectively eliminated Ghana in the quarter-finals.
Yucks! Biting is so sissy. He should learn from the great ZIdane at bringing down Materazzi.

Ajax striker Luis Suarez has been handed a seven-match ban by the Dutch FA (KNVB) after biting an opponent during Saturday's match against PSV Eindhoven.
Suarez, who was criticised during the World Cup for his intentional handball against Ghana that denied them a goal in the final minute, has already been given a two-match suspension by his club having been caught on camera biting Otman Bakkal in the goalless draw.
The Uruguay international accepted Ajax's ban on Tuesday, but has now been hit with a lengthier spell on the sidelines after the KNVB's disciplinary committee decided to come down hard on the player for what they deemed to be a ''violent act''.
Ajax have confirmed they have accepted Suarez's seven-match suspension from the KNVB. It means Suarez will not be available for domestic action until they face De Graafschap on February 4, with the ban ruling him out of six Eredivisie matches and the KNVB Beker clash with AZ Alkmaar.
The striker can, however, play against AC Milan in the Champions League in two weeks. The seven-match suspension incorporates the two matches - against VV Venlo and NEC Nijmegen - Suarez had already been banned for by Ajax, with the Uruguayan also made to pay a fine by the club which will be donated to charity.
