Liverpool midfielder Lucas got so carried away with his side's mini-revival he compared Sunday's match-winner Maxi Rodriguez to Brazil legend Romario.
Argentinian Rodriguez scored the only goal of the game at Bolton - stabbing home Fernando Torres' flick late on - as the Reds made it two wins on the bounce for the first time since Roy Hodgson took charge at Anfield.
The result lifted Liverpool from 18th in the table to 12th and Brazilian Lucas said: 'Maxi scored the type of goal Romario used to score. I told him afterwards it was very similar. It was a nice goal and an important goal.
'Maxi is an intelligent player. He is not the biggest, so he has to play in the space. He has a lot of technique and this type of player will always help you and the team.'
He added: 'I think everyone can see we are improving all the time. It was a difficult game. They have two big strikers and with the long balls, it made it difficult for us. But we tried to keep the ball on the ground, play our football and in the end we were able to score a goal.
'These two victories (after beating Blackburn the week before) will give us a lot of confidence to keep going.
'I think as a team everyone is playing really well and everyone can see the understanding between the players is better. Hopefully we will keep the same attitude and keep getting the victories.'
