After last week's morale boosting win over Blackburn, Liverpool now face another north west side in Bolton, opponents that manager Roy Hodgson could not have hand picked better, given the Reds' recent record over the Trotters.
In 22 Premier League encounters, Bolton have managed a paltry three victories over Liverpool and have lost the last seven on the trot.
But Owen Coyle's side have lost just one league game all season and have well and truly banished the ghosts of Gary Megson's reign. If they could uncover the secret of how to turn draws into victories, and how to get a reborn Johan Elmander scoring goals at home as well as away, a top-half finish this season looks a very achievable aim.
The relief that coursed around Anfield last week after Liverpool's win over Blackburn was palpable. Although they still remain in the relegation places and host Chelsea next Sunday, their fixture list eases as Christmas approaches.
Maybe the biggest plus for Hodgson was watching the out-of-sorts Fernando Torres end his goal drought. Considering Liverpool have failed to score a goal in the league since the opening day of the season without it being scored or assisted by the Spaniard or Steven Gerrard, they need their star men to be at the very top of their game.
liverpool to win 2-1 again
I think this match got fight, unlike the Newcastle / Sunderland one... Too one sided...

Liverpool is in some way playing with a new team.
So, Ah Roy is giving the team some time to gel.
Cole and Maxi were missing during the 1st half.
With the inclusion of Ngog, Torres have some space to run around the defence.
They will have to grind out every victory for every match from now on.
Not sure is it Ah Roy's way of building team spirit.
Just feel like Ah Roy's body language seems to be negative.
Dun see he shouting instructions to the players.
I thought Pool were very lucky last night cos there was 3 possible penalties the referee could have given to Bolton seriously... 2 from Carragher and one from Kyrgiakos... But the 3 points is indeed a good result for Roy...
And honestly, I didn't think Pool played well last night but hope they get their act together fast as free scoring Chelsea are up next... and Drogba will be just as handful like what Kevin Davies was for Bolton... If Roy don't get them going soon, the score against Chelsea could get real ugly...
