Winning mentality: David Silva is convinced Manchester City can win the League
David Silva believes Manchester City's huge squad can help win them their first Barclays Premier League title after their Europa League victory on Thursday night.
City secured a 3-1 win over Polish champions KKS Lech Poznari through Emmanuel Adebayor's superb hat-trick as the Togo striker returned to form.
Boss Roberto Mancini called Jo, Yaya Toure and Wayne Bridge from the bench and still had Carlos Tevez, Vincent Kompany, James Milner and Shay Given as unused substitutes.
Silva reckons second-placed City are starting to utlise their squad to good effect and says it can secure them the League championship as well as progression in the Europa League.
City will secure progress to the last 32 of the Europa League with a second win over Lech, who remain second in the table, next month.
City's Spain forward said: 'It wasn’t just my two assists, the whole team did well. We created a lot of chances and we won, which is the main thing.
'Adebayor played a great game and helped us a lot. We can travel to Poland with less pressure now.
'The Europa League is important – it’s a major European competition – but in the league too we’re doing well and let’s see if we can keep it going.
''We’ve a very deep squad with very good players and you have to be able to use that to your advantage.'
City defender Pablo Zabaleta was in agreement and added: 'The rotation policy meant we’re all at the right level to challenge in all competitions.'
