Chelsea have offered Pepe a bumper wage packet to sign on a free transfer when his Real Madrid contract ends in 2012, according to Cadena Ser.
Pepe, 27, is at deadlock with his club as he attempts to negotiate an extension. The centre-back has demanded £85,000 a week while Madrid are only prepared to move to £60,000.
Carlo Ancelotti's side are aware of the situation and have reportedly made contact with the Portugal international's advisors. They are prepared to wait two years to snap up the player for nothing if terms can't be agreed in Madrid.
£85,000 a week cheap for Chelsea only!!!!!!!!
He will be a good free transfer but not World Class level yet, i doubt Real would offer him 85k per month.
why didn't they make a swap when they release ricardo.. s
