IAN HOLLOWAY cranked up the pressure on Fernando Torres - insisting he is struggling to deal with his goal drought.
Liverpool striker Torres has failed to score in the last four matches. And Blackpool gaffer Ollie, whose team visit Anfield tomorrow, reckons his lack of goals is now playing on his mind.
He said: "Torres is one of the world's top strikers. But when you get in one of these ruts it is hard for any player, especially one as talented as him, to cope with it.
"He's been a sensation since he joined Liverpool and I'm in awe of him because as a centre-forward he has the lot. He has blinding pace, he can finish with his left or right foot and his head.
"Like any cup of coffee, the cream will rise to the top - hopefully not on Sunday though. I hope his lack of form continues."
Holloway accepts his team may look like lambs to the slaughter after being thrashed 6-0 at Arsenal and 4-0 at Chelsea already.
But the chirpy Seasiders boss declared: "We look a winnable match - so we have to go and prove that isn't the case.
"I want to come out of Anfield full of pride and have people say how difficult we made it for them."

after everton's win yesterday liverpool are now in the bottom three. they really cant afford to lose.

I guess that the british press is quite lenient to Ah Roy.
6 points in 6 games is not good for Liverpool.
They may be preparing for relegation if they go into admin on Oct 5.
The players should know better.
As for the game tonight, the player confidence is pretty low unless they get their act together, I am looking at a defeat.
I am not giving up on Liverpool.
It is just that they are going through more than a rough patch at the moment.

I think Pool just started the season with a few tough fixtures that's all, so I do expect them to get it going from here on... Cos with the squad they have, there is no reason they should be in the bottom 3...
The Black one is going to lose tonight... Cos kena bang 4 by Chelsea, and 6 from gunners... Pool should get just slightly below 4 i guess... maybe 3-0 win since it's Anfield.

Wah... Pool lost at Anfield, quite unexpected... But I must say this Blackpool actually played very well today... Their passing was very impressive. But the main thing they shown and Pool players was lacking is the fighting spirit from the players... The way they ran till no strength towards the end, dived in to clear with their head despite the danger of getting kick... Blackpool did very well and deserved the 3 away points. And I think they will stay up this season despite being most pundits favourite to go back down. Cos this 3 points gain today will go a long way to helping them.
I guess somewhere in Italy, Rafa have a grin on his face.
