Cesc Fabregas faces a race to be fit for Arsenal's Premier League trip to rivals Chelsea after revealing that he hopes to be back playing within two weeks.
The Arsenal captain limped off with a hamstring injury in the 1-1 draw with Sunderland on Saturday after giving the Gunners the lead.
Fabregas went for a scan today, and Arsene Wenger said earlier he didn't expect any news until tomorrow.
But the Spaniard, speaking via his Twitter account said: 'Good news on my injury. I have some fluid but nothing bad in the muscle. I hope I can be playing in 2 weeks.'
Fabregas is set to miss Arsenal's Premier League game against West Brom at the Emirates this weekend and their Champions League trip to Partizan Belgrade next Tuesday.
But he could be fit for the crucial Stamford Bridge showdown on October 3 as Arsenal look to close the gap on the champions.
