  Arsenal have been dealt yet another injury blow with Thomas Vermaelen ruled out of Saturday's meeting with Bolton. 

  The defender is suffering from an Achilles injury, the severity of which is not yet known. New signing Sebastien Squillaci is set to deputise.

   "He will play tomorrow," confirmed Arsene Wenger. "I know Sebastien very well and the target was to give him 90 minutes for the Reserves. Just to get his positional play back. 

  "He is experienced and it is good he can compensate the absence of Vermaelen. 

  "Vermaelen's [injury] should be short-term and has a chance to play on Wednesday night." 

  The news is the latest in a long line of injuries suffered by Arsenal players this season despite their campaign being just three league matches long. 

  Those already ruled out of at least one match through injury include skipper Cesc Fabregas, Robin Van Persie, Nicklas Bendtner, Theo Walcott, Samir Nasri, Denilson, Alex Song, Aaron Ramsey and now Vermaelen.

  Some of the up coming matches some of these gunners players will miss... I think the 3 away mtches will be a problem for them...

  i see arsenal website saying vermaelen injure only 3 days nia will be back for the CL game. fabregas, song and denilson dun tink got injure lehz.And samir nasri might be back for 2moro game

  No lah, i never meant all mah, the length of some is shorter than the other. Like Van Persie and Bendtner could be a little longer and Walcott, could be out for a week to 3 weeks kind...

  In January Arsenal disposed of Bolton twice in four days but Owen Coyle's team have begun the season looking more resilient, as their recovery in coming from 2-0 down to force a draw with Birmingham showed. With Jussi Jaaskelainen suspended Bolton will give Adam Bogdan, their Hungarian goalkeeper, his first Premier League start. Arsenal are without Theo Walcott and Robin van Persie but the return of Samir Nasri should help their attacking momentum. Bolton won well at West Ham three weeks ago but would be happy with a point at the Emirates.
