Manchester United are closing in on the signing of Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski, according to his boss with Poland's national team.
Sir Alex Ferguson watched Dortmund's impressive 5-2 German Cup final win over Bayern Munich last month and has since signed Shinji Kagawa for £17million. Lewandowski, 23, scored a hat-trick in that game and has been tipped to star for the co-hosts at Euro 2012.
Poland coach Franciszek Smuda boasts three players from the German champions in Lewandowki, Lukasz Piszczek and Kuba Blaszczykowski. But he revealed that all three are expected to leave Dortmund this summer.
According to Smuda, Lewandowski is Old Trafford-bound, Piszczek is set for another club in the Barclays Premier League and Blaszczykowski will join Jose Mourinho at Real Madrid.'In my opinion, in a moment they will be gone from Borussia,' Smuda said. '"Lewy" is going to Manchester United, Kuba also somewhere in England, Piszczek to Real (Madrid).'

'They have a goal and they want to grow. I base the squad on them.'Lewandowski is set to enter the final two years of his current deal and contract talks with Dortmund broke down last month. His agent Maik Barthel said at the time: 'The offer from Dortmund is not enough and I can confirm there is interest from Manchester United.'
Ferguson is also keen on a third Dortmund player, Germany defender Mats Hummels.
A trio of other Premier League giants have been tracking Lewandowski. Arsenal, Manchester City and Chelsea are all keen on the striker, who helped Dortmund to retain their Bundesliga title last season.
