EPL Game 37
Manchester United :
De Gea, Rafael, Ferdinand, Evans, Jones, Smalling, Evra, Fabio, Park, Carrick, Valencia, Cleverley, Berbatov, Nani, Hernandez, Rooney, Young, Giggs, Ben Amos.
Doubtful - Owen, Lindegaard.
Out - Vidic, Fletcher, Welbeck, Anderson.
The tension may be at its peak well before Manchester United take the field. Their hopes rest with Manchester City, who lead the Premier League on goal difference, faltering at Newcastle United, who shocked Chelsea by winning 2-0 at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night. Such an outcome would see Old Trafford brimming with euphoria before the match there has even begun. Swansea's season has been excellent, but their form has faded of late, with just a single victory for Brendan Rodgers' side in the last seven matches.

• If Swansea score in this game it will be the first time since the 1978-79 season that United have conceded more than 20 goals at home
• Andrea Orlandi's goal after 22 seconds of the 4-4 draw with Wolves last week was the quickest in the Premier League this season
• United have scored with 20% of their shots this season and hit the target with 52% of attempts – both divisional highs for 2011-12
• Swansea have failed to win, or even manage to keep a clean sheet, on their eight previous visits to Old Trafford (drawn two, lost six)
• United have had more shots on target in 2011-12 than any other side in the top flight
Swansea logo is most beautiful and elegant i ever seen...................
i predict 1-1 draw........................
then Man City beat Newcastle 2-1.....................
I very sad if man utd dun win the title this season... sad sad...
More shots on target than any other club? Haha but none against man city last week.
That body language of paul scholes when he scored that goal says it all man........sigh. Utd must start playing breathtaking attacking football again. Rooney has to improve his passing. I believe the stats on him passing in the final third has been pretty poor this season.
The only 2 teams who will be competing in the future will be Chelsea and City.
For the rest, no money, no talk.

not true. chelsea did spend the most every season since RA took over but yet did not win every season. it goes to show money is important but does not guarantee success.
Man U is an exception because of SAF.
When he retires, I think Man U might go to the path of Liverpool - a fading giant.

Don't worry lol. No team can dominate a football league for more than 20 years. Utd's era has ended.

I think so too.
Man U, City, Arsenal will be fading soon.
Chelsea, City could become the 2 dominant teams for the next decade because of $$$.
The uefa fair play rule is coming in 13/14 so don't expect chelsea and city to keep up the spending in 2 yrs time. But they will still be able to spend quite a sum as they will be in the CL as do United, who also happens to have he highest revenue so the fair play rule won't hurt them too much.
The top 4 for the next decade could very well be City, Chelsea, United and Arsenal. As for Spurs, they have a slim chance.
And I honestly think Liverpool will become a mid-table side for thes next 10 yrs. Maybe like the Aston Villa today, who was once a power house as well. Their best chance to get a top 4 and maintain for here on is this season after spending more than $100m and Chelsea and Arsenal not doing too well. But i think they lost that chance. Kenny blew it for them as I don't think their owners will be spending the same again therefore they will not rise. Had they got into the CL place this season, they could have built from it. Now it's gone...

united costly home defeat to BB and draw to everton, will prove to be crucial it seems.
