He's a former Man U defender with a pretty decent record as the manager of the French national team.
not bad choice, but got potential, but then united cant afford to experiment with potential managers, need a proven winner like mourinho or Pep Guardialo.
just look at liverpool from history, appointed 2-3 diastrous appointments since kenny resigned in 1991. I hope united dun make the mistakes liverpool made in the early 90s.
united would do well to learn from its history when sir busby retired and also liverpool history's since 1991 when kenn daglish resigned. learn from the barcelona la masia academy. ultimate is to play barcelona football style, simple and effective passes and possession football, play keep ball, back to the basics. make the opponents run and lose stamina. this is the brazilian football style, they seem to have forgotten to play this with disatrous appointments from scolari to dunga, who resorted to the european football style rather than follow their instincts and play samba football.
i don't think Mourinho will come.. Normally, he loves to go to clubs with big transfer budgets so as to buy his favored players.
Even Pep.. if he comes, and players were to follow, can MUFC even afford them? what Pique??
I still prefer someone with feet on their ground and some afflications with MUFC b4.. like Ole or Blanc.
Some is talking about Moyes, but yes, he is able to grind out results with what he has, but his plays have not been upz to MUFC.
But come what may, I think all MUFC fans know deep in their hearts that after SAF retires, there will be a void and there will be adjustment periods. cause other than SAF, I don't think any new manager will ever have such influence over the owners.
Hopefully,we will not end up like Liverpool after SAF retires, going into obscurity
If we are lookin at former players, how about Peter Schmeichel? He likes to scold his players when they make things difficult for him when he used to play in goal.Maybe he is SAF no 2?
