Craven Cottage's reputation as a "good away" in the eyes of the United support has been tarnished of late, with the team taking only one point from the old stadium in the past three seasons. The jinx feels less likely to strike this time, given the way that Sir Alex Ferguson's team have built the best away record in the country. Unbeaten and seemingly impenetrable at the back, they travel with conviction. On the flipside, though, they are due a reverse and Martin Jol's Fulham project is coming together. This will be the London club's 32nd game of a season that began with a 3-0 win against Runavik in June.

but lost Jones and Ashley Young to inj
Phil Jones could miss up to six weeks with a suspected fractured cheekbone.
The Manchester United star will have an X-ray on Thursday after being knocked to the floor by a Clint Dempsey elbow after just two minutes of his side’s 5-0 win at Fulham on Wednesday night.
United also lost winger Ashley Young to a suspected ankle injury after the substitute clearly hurt himself going into a challenge with Fulham midfielder Dickson Etuhu.
‘Ashley was hurt by a very aggressive tackle and he had to come off as well. We are picking up injuries at the moment.’
Double blow: Jones and Young both went off with injuries at Craven Cottage
Ryan Giggs, who scored United’s third goal, added: ‘Phil is a bit groggy, we’ll just have to see how he is.’
The 19-year-old versatile defender has been a revelation for United since signing from Blackburn in the summer for £16m.
Receiving treatment: United star Phil Jones sits down on the pitch
Three and easy: Giggs scores United's third goal at Craven Cottage
Pure delight: Ryan Giggs celebrates after scoring at Craven Cottage
Ryan Giggs' goal against Fulham on Wednesday night saw him extend his unique record of scoring in every Premier League season.
But not everything went his way — when the 38-year-old winger scored United’s third goal at Craven Cottage, it turned out to be the 19,999th goal scored in the Premier League.
Guess who scored the 9,999th? Former United midfielder Paul Scholes.
Giggs’ first came way back in August 1992 in a 2-0 victory over Nottingham Forest.
The Welshman has actually scored in 22 seasons, since making his debut for United in March, 1991.
It was a comfortable night for United at Craven Cottage, with the visitors 3-0 up at half-time following goals from Danny Welbeck, Nani and Ryan Giggs.
Wayne Rooney and Dimitar Berbatov scored superb goals late on to give United their heaviest win in three months.
Sir Alex Ferguson's men go into Christmas still two points behind their neighbours Manchester City in the title race.
United really suay. The injury list is realy kns......
I never thought i would say this during this season, but Johnny Evans have been brilliant in these last 2 matches... He suddenly becomes Mr Dependable like the first time he came on to the side like that.
And hope Phil Jones isn't too serious.
There's something very worrying actually, besides the injuries. Rooney is losing balls very often in midfield and the final third. He can't hold the ball well these days. And to be in that position that he's in now, he's no david silva too. Can't make those defence splitting passes that silva does with ease. Utd really need a creative midfielder.
