united cannot hope to rival barcelona with the current crop of central midfielders, fletcher, giggs, anderson, carrick with the exception of cleverley. he is one for the future. another for the future is morrison and pogba, but they are not ready now.
united current crop of central midfielders do not have the creativity nor the robustness of defensive midfield, as Jones is often asked to play there as his energy levels are quite high. he can run all day in the centre pf the pitch up and down.
