they misses essien, their midfield anchor. Mata looks an inspired buy. united should have bought mata if they cant land sneider, sigh. united midfield looks stale and uninspired with fletcher, anderson, carrick etc. good thing is cleverley is coming back from injury. hope fergie fast track pogba from reserves, as united is badly in need for a defensive anchor to protect the back 4.
maybe man u need more signings instead of so many youngster.
with city's spending power it will not be easy to win the premiership.
just look at the way city attacks.
they are more deadly than the chelsea under mourinho.
city for many defensive anchor, 3 of them, plus wingers also. but what they have is 2 creative midfielder in silva and nasir. united has none in midfield. no wonder rooney always drop back in midfield to help out.
I think the moment was the sending off of Evans... It made it impossible to come back against a good side with only ten men...
Overall, I wasn't too surprised with the result. Even the score as United usually lose big cos Fergie always throw everyhing into attack when the game is going against them even with ten men... So it will sure open up.
To be honest, i am more surprised with the QPR Chelsea result rather than the United one... I didn't even want to catch that match cos I kind of expected Chelsea to have a 'walk in the park' kind of match then when i saw the result in the newspaper this morning i was like what the hell Chelsea lost to QPR? Really? Then went on to read what happen, how did they lose... They were reduced to 9 men it seems... No wonder.
I guess it was something waiting to happen from the recent performance of the squad... They haven't played well for sometime already, against Basel, Norwich and against Liverpool too but got lucky to come away with points... I think it's a good wake up call to the money man that the team need a good creative midfielder... Also, leading the table at this moment comes with the pressure too and the United squad can do without that for now...
haha i did not watch this game as I was expecting a defeat... but still this result is good from a long term pov. would be even better if evans was not sent off and we still lost 6-1. hope saf will bring in new players in jan or look to the reserves... i am wondering if rooney is the long term solution for the creative midfield role.. while playing welback & hernandez up front.
Glory Glory Man City. The Blues go marching on!
Well, I do agree with some that this defeat may just means 3pts, but i read SAF saying the GD is a key too.
well, no matter what, it is not the end of season, and we won't know who will lift the cup..
actually united is ready for a strong comeback in the second half if not for that lame evans sent off, who was napping when balotelli was in front of him. sigh.
when evans played, I am really worried, cos of his lack of pace and his prone to do something silly, either concede a penalty or caught napping.
A wake up call for man u youngsters.

no evans must go. he cannot be allowed to stay. how many times have we seen him concede a free kick, penalty, lack of pace and mistake. he costs united the chance of a fightback, which I felt was coming in the second half.
This looks like Man City's year.
All the stars are aligned in favour of City.
Man U are rebuilding with their young players, Arsenal rebuilding with no name players, Liverpool perpetually rebuilding with lousy English players and Chelsea not so potent with an aging squad this year.
Man City might potentially win the league with a 10 point gap at the top.

Money can work wonders definitely - quicken the process.
They are lucky that ALL the teams are in a process of change / rebuilding, so this season is the best chance they have got to win the title.
If they don't do it this season, Chelsea, Man U and maybe even Liverpool and Arsenal would have closed this narrow gap next season.
united really miss the chance to buy sneider from Inter, otherwise he will run the midfield at united, but then city has 2 creators now, silva and nasir, 3 destroyers toure, barry, de jong. united only have 1 destroyer, fletcher, need to promote pogba from the reserves.

I got a feeling that SAF will take these few years to rebuild and grow the youngsters, that is why for this season, he has been playing more of them rather than the senior players.
He might want to try recreate what he did 20 years ago before he retires.

yes this is his plan I am sure, to recreate another of his fledgings to challenge for the next 10-15 years, that is the long term. for the short term, I dun think united can match barcelona style of passing. just look at our midfield. the only player I can think of that can match barcelona midfield is Nani, the rest cannot. barcelona midfield totally and utterly run our midfield battered, just look at the players in their midfield. xavi, iniesta, messi, febragas, sanchez!!!

This season possibly only Chelsea can challenge Man City.
Might depend on how much reinforcements Chelsea brings in during the Jan transfer window.

I believe if man u is chasing the lead in april, united will go to city seeking a win. that will be very interesting. I look forward to seeing the rematch at city. I hope evans does not play in that match.
Tevez wants to sue mancini haha. Troublemaker.
