EPL Game 05
Manchester United :
De Gea, Ferdinand, Smalling, Evans, Jones, Fabio, Evra, Nani, Fletcher, Park, Carrick, Berbatov, Young, Anderson, Giggs, Valencia, Gibson, Rooney, Hernandez , Macheda, Diouf, Lindegaard.
Out - Rafael, Vidic, Cleverley, Welbeck.
I am guessing this as a possible line-up for Sunday... If only Cech was still not fit...
De Gea
Jones, Ferdinand, Smalling, Evra
Nani, Anderson, Fletcher, Young
Hernandez , Rooney
Sub: Lindegaard, Evans, Park, Valencia, Berbatov.
Cech
Bosingwa, Terry, Luiz, A Cole
Meireles, Lampard, Ramires
Anelka, Torres, Mata
Sub: Hilario, Ivanovic, Malouda, Kalou, Sturridge.
C'mon The Blues!!
Chelsea to nick it
suspecting a 1-2 win
11pm again so late?
I am going to have panda eyes on Monday morning.
anyway I think united is going to win it at OT, good chance for man u to increase its lead over chelsea and dent chelsea title aspirations. united need to go for a win.
Shake, rattled and roll: De Gea has taken some time to settle at United
With De Gea set to return to United's line-up on Sunday, it is expected that fit-again Darren Fletcher will also start in midfield. Recovered now from a debilitating virus, the Scotland captain played for an hour in Lisbon and should start against Andre Villa-Boas' side.
Fletcher said: 'I had to go on a diet to build up my strength and bulk up again.
'I managed to do that, but with all the football I missed, I had to work really hard to catch up. But I feel good and I feel fit, so it's good to be back among things and in the team again.
'The younger lads have come into the squad and it has been a breath of fresh air and the results speak for that.
'Long may it continue, but it is going to be difficult to get back in. It is a challenge for me, but one I am looking forward to.'
I was thinking what if they move Jones to the midfield position alongside Anderson and play Fabio on the right? So far Jones have impress in every position he plays... Spring a surprise on Chelsea... Then there is Park, who always seem to play well against Arsenal and Chelsea for some strange reason... lol.
If only Cech was still unfit, how nice would that be... Cos this guy alone can save 2 to 3 certain goals compare to Hilario...

Possible, right now to me, I feel Jones and Smalling are very utility, can play in a few positions. I dunno about midfield for Jones, unless he becomes the holding defensive midfielder, running forward from time to time, I just hope neither Carrick nor Evans starts, they make me depressed.
Carrick is a has been and evans looks like he'd make a good buy for a mid table team.
always with evans playing..there sure a leak of goals ..except the one in bolton. I cant stand seeing carrick playin.g..cos he always hold the ball till nobody is free..and he pass the ball..or give ball away..hm...
why dont let smalling n jones in central def..leh. maybe experience ba from alex thinking..
united need to go all out for a win and dent chelsea title blow even at this early stage of the season. if united can beat chelsea convincingly at Old Trafford, then it would deal chelsea's hope a blow and continue united good run against top teams so far. it has already beaten arsenal and spurs, hopefully chelsea as well....in a few weeks time, united travel to liverpool.........hopefully can beat liverpool there as well
utd damn lucky man hahaha.....if not for de gea. Should sell fletcher and anderson la....it's been so many years. Fletcher is a very simple kind of midfielder, he can lose the ball if he's up against nifty players like the spanish. I have always said he's an above average midfielder.
Nowadays, brazilians no longer possess that invincible aura. Look at ramires and anderson.
united players keep passing to chelsea players, esp Jones, Anderson & Fletcher. also united play long balls instead of short passing. chelsea were unlucky not to score goals.
30 secs to 2nd half
anelka sub in
ass to Torres
and scored
wow
Torres scored 30 seconds in the second half. Jones naviety was exposed by Anelka pass to Torres.
if chelsea scored another goal, it would be game on. this game is far from over at this early stage of the second half
Lolx
penalty miss from rooney
this avb tends to make astute substitutions. Guess it's no fluke that he's never lost in portugal before.
omg, carrick replaces anderson lol.
its a win that will dent chelsea title aspirations so early in the season. a good win, but not that a convincing win though at OT.
most importantly its 5 points separating united from chelsea.
Nani scored a scorcher. he will win this season EPL player of the season.
18th consecutive home win.
Fortress Old Trafford.

Not really, I thought he should have started with Anelka rather than Sturridge...
Anyway, a good win. But the young players a bit more nervous in big match... When I first saw Evans i thought Oh my... no Rio, die liao...
Nani's goal was fantastic, it was like out of the blue it flew in ! I got up from my chair and was kind of pleasantly shock... lol... Fergie also looked surprised...
Also, Wayne Rooney did a John Terry...
Donno what to say.
Feel happy when he miss
Feel sad as im a striker too. i can understand how he feel.
We were very very lucky with this game, truly.
I really don't know what else I can say about Evans. Many times he was oblivious to movement around him, made one great interception, but other than that always got on the wrong side of opponents and relying of the side ref.
Perfect example was just above me, after Torres' miss, it cuts to Fletcher and Evans who are the closest behind and they stopped in their tracks, never even tried to run back expecting an offside.
Either way, I am depressed Rooney missed two chances. I'm happy for Torres as a player to finally get a goal, because it must be killing him to be goalless for so long. But let's not forget some of the saves De Gea made lol.
Good win, but lucky. I hope the momentum continues, and that performance picks up again. (Like that game against Tottenham, and Bolton)
