Skysports.com understands that Sunderland have launched a triple bid on Manchester United by making offers for Wes Brown, John O'Shea and Darron Gibson.
Sunderland are busy in the transfer market with Jordan Henderson set to finalise his move to Liverpool.
Now Black Cats chiefs have made their own moves and have lodged a bid of around £12million for the trio.
And it is believed United are ready to do business for the trio of players who have all come through the ranks at Old Trafford.
Defender Brown, 31, midfielder Gibson, 23, and utility man O'Shea, 30, will now decide whether they want to make the switch to Wearside in the coming days.
It will be an extremely good deal, hard for Fergie to reject and for the players to reject too since they are all bit part players.
United could really make do with the extra cash and slashing down of wages. I remember O'Shea is on a 80k per week contract, no?
However, having said that, United will definitely have to scout for defensive cover and Phil Jones is a good choice alongside James Tomkins from West Ham.
I would hope John O'Shea is not sold... He is always willing to wait his time and not rock the boat. And he is a decent cover too for Right/Left back positions as well as Centre-back too... And I don't think he is on $80k lah... Maybe $50 to $60k like Brown $40 to $50k...

You forgot your own post?
O'Shea is getting old already and I believe youngster like De Laet can replace him easily. De Laet is also very versatile, can play all across the backline and midfield too. We also have a Ryan Tunnicliffe coming up from the youth team.

Now it's John O'Shea turn to get a new contract

Wah, your post very the confusing... I thought you said I posted those words under the violet one as well... you must make it more obvious those words are yours mah...
Ok lah, $80k still shouldn't be too much of a problem given he has given a lot to the club... If he runs down his contract and walk away for free worse right? He could also get that amount elsewhere when you think Wayne Bridge earns that much at West Ham... Joe Cole gets $90k, Glen Johnson reportly gets $139k...
This was his latest deal only signed a few months ago, and possibility his last big contract. Previously he accepted very low for many years...
The club must also be seen to reward him for his continued loyalty mah... Otherwise other players won't want to join if they think the club is like Arsenal kind, only under 28 is consider got future, above is "over the hill"
O'Shea's previous contract lasted until the summer of 2012, but to reward him for his continued loyalty to the club - Sir Alex and David Gill have extended his contract and nearly doubled his wage package. He made his 60th International appearance for Ireland on the 17th of November, and has been one of Giovanni Trapattoni's most consistent performers.

How confusing can that be? It doesn't change the fact that he was reportedly earning 80k per week through the thread started by you leh.
80k per week for a fringe player is not ok at all. Not too sure how Michael Owen will feel for his reportedly 20-30k per week + pay as you play wage?
Wayne Bridge is on Man City books (the money club), Glen Johnson is a first team regular at Liverpool, Joe Cole was supposed to be a first team player until his injuries strikes again. So such comparisons are pointless. I don't see any fringe player earning 80k per week unless you're talking about money-printing clubs like Chelsea, Man City, Real Madrid, Barcelona?
I've mentioned in the previous thread that yes, you should be rewarded on loyalty but not sorely based on loyalty. He went all the way downhill after winning the young player of the year in his first year at the first team! I hope you can recall his budge on Torres in the BPL match that could have so easily resulted in a red card had a United player not be somewhere close by for him not to be considered as a last man?
All 3 must go. We need new players who are hungrier for success. Look at Chicharito. Remember at the beginning of the season when United faced with defensive crisis? Who are the players that screw things up at the back? 1. Evans. 2. O'Shea. 3. Brown.
