Is Pepe necessary given Rio's age/history, with smalling coming along?? what about the rest like brown, OShea??

Brown is more or less leaving United since his contract is almost up and haven't feature as much this season because of the bust up with Fergie earlier in the season.
O'Shea is more of utilityman and he's super slow, which explains why he's always thrown on the left and right back slot or centre of the field where speed is not a necessity.
Pepe could be a good signing:
1. Rio is near retirement age and getting more injury-proned.
2. Evans is super shaky
3. Should Rio and Brown be out, Vidic is the only experienced centre back.
Anyway, I think the Ritchie De Laet guy could be useful. Last season's reserve player of the year can play all across the back 4 and he did alright for Preston, starting in all matches but alas, he got recalled because of Fergie Jnr's sacking.

wasn't too impressed with this RDL's guy when he is playing.
