Manchester United will tackle Barcelona in a friendly in Washington on July 30.
Although United are yet to confirm their pre-season plans for next summer, it was anticipated they would tour the United States once again.
And the announcement on Barcelona's website that Sir Alex Ferguson's men will form one of their opponents for a three-match tour suggests United will also spend an extended period across the Atlantic.
The Red Devils played five matches this year, including a game in Guadalajara against Chivas as part of the deal that took Javier Hernandez to Old Trafford.
United were beaten by Barcelona in the Champions League Final of 2009.
Meanwhile, Hull have extended the loan of United winger Cameron Stewart until the end of the season. The 19-year-old was signed in November until January 4 but has since impressed the Tigers enough to secure a longer stay at the KC Stadium.
