Goodbye: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer signed off is typical style, with a ton of goals
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has bade a fitting farewell to Manchester United.
Solskjaer, 37, who has quit as reserve-team manager to take charge of FK Molde, in his native Norway, signed off this week with a 5-1 win over Newcastle United reserves.
Solskjaer takes up his post as manager of Norwegian side Molde, marking the end of the Old Trafford hero's 14-year spell at Manchester United, which included an injury time goal in the European Cup final win over Bayern Munich that marked his place among the club's legends.
He will be joined in Norway by former Old Trafford backroom pair Mark Dempsey and Richard Hartis.
Solksjaer said: 'I've been away (from Norway) for 14 and a half years and felt it was time to go home.
'The opportunity to manage Molde was too good to turn down.

'I'm looking forward to this challenge but it's massively hard to leave Manchester United.
'When I told the manager I almost had a tear in my eye.
'I've had an unbelievable time, I've played under him for 11 years and coached for three and a half years, learned a hell of a lot and everyone at United has treated me fantastically.'
You are my Solskjaer, my only Solskjaer.
You make me happy, when skies are grey.
wah this guy, hope he comes back someday. Reading about him leaving brought back memories to the night when he scored that winning goal.
