United are again hard done by a poor referring decision... It's not he first time it's been against Chelsea. Last season's 2 matches results were also the poor calls of the referee that changed the season's title winners. Ironically, it was also the same referee on that day.
Whatever happens here, Chelsea isn't the one to be blamed. It's the referee that is the problem and the people who selected him after the controversy he created last season. Same fixture, same referee for the fixture for 3 season's straight, same suspicious decisions... This can't allow to continue. Fergie has to make a real din out of this even if it meant getting a touchline ban cos by highlighting it, will most likely ensure this same referee won't referee this fixture again in the future. And that is the main importance and not the points drop in this match.
Unlike last season, I belief we can let this result go as Chelsea probably isn't going to win the title this season... It looks more like it's going to be against Arsenal... And who knows, that match might see another bad referee decision going United's way and change the title altogether...
But one thing that this result has brought out now is... After some digging from past results, The statistic has been pull out on Martin Atkinson and it is not surprising that Chelsea has never lost a game whenever he is referee of the match...
It must put some heat under his collar and the next time when he referee in another of their big match again... The spotlight could very much be on him... It might make him want to try to prove he isn't a "True Blue" referee as the present statistic seem to suggest and in turn make more poor decisions again but next time against them... lol.
that's interesting....didnt know this piece of stat lol. Somehow some parts of the game must be rigged.
Wah lao, never think of that..... If next season also him being refree again for Stamford Bridge clash, lets bet Chelsea win Man U!!!
3 seasons ago, a dubious penalty decision helped Chelsea won 2-1. But they were out of steam in last match as Chelsea managed 2 draw against Bolton whereas Man U won convincingly at Wigan since Chelsea knew that they couldn't win any BPL due to bad goal difference with Man U.
