Manchester United defender Jonny Evans could be sent out on loan in a bid to rebuild his confidence, according to reports.
Evan's was hauled off during United's 4-0 Carling Cup humiliation at West Ham and didn't even make the bench for Tuesday's Champions League clash with Valencia at Old Trafford.
United have conceded 15 goals in the nine league games the defender has played this season and according to The Sun, manager Sir Alex Ferguson could send him out on loan.
Evans, who has previously been out on loan at Sunderland and Royal Antwerp in Belgium, has played 77 times for United but admits he is facing a tough battle to get back in the team.
"This is probably the biggest challenge I have had," the 22-year-old said. "It is the first time I have been taken out of the team because of performances."
Up until this season, centre-back Evans had been predicted to have a bright future at Old Trafford, regularly being called into action whenever Rio Ferdinand or Nemanja Vidic were not available.
