united story so far. started very well and score goals in first half. second half inexplicably self destructed when opponents score 1 goal and then score another one to tie the score. united is performing well in one half, but went missing when second half started. how many points were dropped as a result? chelsea and man city must be laughing deep down due to united dropping so many 2 pointers.
3 straight draws already.
Sigh.
I dont think I can expect much from United this season. I'd be happy enough if they finish runner-up.
no fire in their eyes already leh... knn...
Just get into the top 4 and forget about this season.
Almost every game has been shit.
ferguson time again and again make bad line-ups.
Paul scholes should stop playing already, look at his passes today. Bad and giving away balls easily.
berbaflop should go off too, he was missing during 2nd half.
Last time, Man Utd was a 2nd half team winner but now they are first 20minutes team, after that they suck really bad. Can be said to perform lousier than WBA, a newly promoted side.

Agreed.
No more Keano to drive them forward, only Lazy Carrick and Clueless Gibson in the middle.
No more Ronaldo with his excellent dribbles, only Nani and his Ronnie-Imitation.
No more Rooney's Never Say Die Attitute with Appetite to win, we're left with a soul-less Rooney who wants his private life back more than anything.
at least united is undefeated, thats the only consolation I can take from, but its no consolation considering so many 2 points dropped as a result of jekyl and hyde performances. play well in first half, sucks in second half.
in a worst case scenario, united may not even finish runner up, they may drop to third or even fourth, horrors of horrors.

You don't think at this rate it'd be lucky Utd even get third or fourth?
its still early in the season, only in mid october. hope united rebound back from next week onwards. hope villa beat chelsea tonight, fingers crossed.

Its worrying to see that so early in the season the players seem bereft of the desire to grind out a win already.
Apart from placing Bebe in the starting 11, I think Fergie has tried every possible combination already.
I shudder to think what performance Utd will produce as the season wears on.
i wouldn't blame VDS that much for that howler...cos for the numerous outstanding saves n performances he has contributed to this team,we can't blame him for jus 1 mistake..its like a SC scoring 1 from 20chances n every ppl hails him but a Gk gets less credit..It's jus a one off thing for VDS..He will be back stronger.Whereas, the blame should be put on the whole team instead for this dismal unspirited performance.Actually some would say that united performed in the 1st half, they were probably only 60% of what they were capable of when on form..the 2 goals were part luck n WBA's mistakes..WBA had a gd spell of possesion taht united couldn't do anything abt it.2nd half was worse. The whole midfield were clueless, neither carrick nor anderson was dominating and orchestrating the midfielder..there wasn't any superiority in play shown against WBA.Carrick seriously i have no idea what's got into him,he has been very far from his old self since last season n this bad spell just carried on from last season. He needs to wake up his idea.Anderson's passing still found wanting. The whole attacking play wasn't smooth as before...Only berbatov n nani showed glimpes of brillance n gd link up play...
“From our first-half performance, which was outstanding, the criticism is that we didn’t finish them off,” the boss told MUTV. “Where it should have been 5-0 at half-time, we’ve gone in 2-0 up. That is an area we have to be concerned about.
“Everton away should have been five or six, we should have got three or four at Fulham; and we’re losing points because of it. It’s not a defining result in terms of where the league’s going to end up, but we can’t keep doing that. We are very frustrated about it. Two-nil is never a great scoreline. If you lose a goal, it gives the other team a lifeline. I always think 1-0 is better. It keeps the concentration better, you push more for the second goal.”
As for the goals conceded, Sir Alex didn’t apportion blame. “They got a real break for the first goal. I didn’t think it was a foul. But they got the luck after that, it came off the inside of Evra’s leg and it was just a bad bit of luck. The second goal… what can you say? Edwin has been playing for over 20 years as a top goalkeeper and he was probably in primary school the last time he made a mistake like that. You just have to wipe it off the slate. There’s nothing you can do about it, it was just one of these inexplicable errors.”
So United remain unbeaten, but that statistic is no consolation for damaging dropped points. “There are two ways of looking at it,” concluded Sir Alex. “If we were a team in the middle of the league you’d say we were undefeated. But for Manchester United that’s not good enough.”

I feel that this sentence is a cover up of the poor man utd defence this season.
He should have improve on the defence and not talking about scoring more goals to kill the game.
In the past, man utd can defend for one goal lead. So criticise your defence don't use poor reason like man utd should score more goals to kill the game.
To me its really the whole team that's just not performing up to par.
Majority of the goals considered have been from set pieces anyway so you can't exactly point the finger at the back four.

Again, they repeated what they did against Munchen (both legs), Everton........
Remember 04/05 season? Man U kept on getting draws during start of season when Ferdinand was suspended
Man U is having an off form now...it is ok as it still a long long way to go.
They going to pick up again very soon....better that Man U play the chasing pack then leading in front.

But Man U really worked on defence in a goalless draw at Sunderland. IMO, that was the match when the defenders worked on how to prevent Sunderland from scoring, especially prevention of Darren Bent to stun Man U.

Many draws will harm their chance of winning BPL. If this continues goes on, can finish 3rd liao. Remember 04/05 season, Man U had paid the price of claiming many draws.
Time to wake up for Man U players.
Man U should have led Chelsea if Man U converted their chance to win earlier on
VDS made a costly mistake, and that's all there is or they would have ended up winning 2-1, enough said...

自寻æ»è·¯ã€‚。。 Maybe should let VDS rest and let Tomesz play (get his chance to feature).
