Somehow I feel this result wasn't bad... Bolton was really physical and their front 2 was very hard to keep check. In defence, they cut out all the high balls into their box. I can't recall one United corner getting pass.
Overall, I think United were quite lucky to get a point in the end cos one of the shortest player actually did something the other taller ones couldn't. And that is get his head to the ball and score from it... Totally unexpected that one.
Cut one point also not bad lah...

Michael Owen came off the bench to head a late equaliser and rescue Manchester United from embarrassment at Bolton.
Owen and Federico Macheda were introduced in the second half, the Italian for a disappointing Wayne Rooney, but it was the Englishman who glanced in a fine finish from Nani's cross.
Zat Knight handed Bolton an early lead with a flicked finish before Nani's solo run and precise shot levelled matters in the first half. Martin Petrov capped a brilliant team move to fire the Trotters back ahead in the second period before Owen's intervention.

jonny evans is my weak link. Their backline is lacking a clear leader, I'd think. Frustrating to see such rollercoaster performances every week. Had elmander been sharper, he would have made it 4-2. Cant imagine if the player was david villa instead lol!

O'Shea and Evans combo almost caused United the points and Fergie still wouldn't acknowledge this fact that those 2 are better on the bench than on the field.
Rafael can play during cup matches but no where to be seen during league matches. I thought Fergie bought Smalling for a reason? Maybe he can try Smalling and Vidic partnership instead of Evans?
The spark from midfield is missing. Nani is probably the only spark and Scholes' form is on a decline since the spectacular season opening few matches. Obertan? Still keep him on bench for how long? Until he leaves on loan and finally permanent deal like Tosic before him?

On the side note, Tosic, who was sold to CSKA Moscow during the off season, has already scored 4 goals in 8 matches! He scored 5 in 14 matches for FC Koln last season on loan. Not bad for a small lad who wasn't given a chance to impress!
