Santos have today announced the signing of former Manchester United midfielder Rodrigo Possebon, who returns to Brazil after spending two years in England.
"Santos Football Club have just agreed the signing of central midfielder Rodrigo Possebon from Manchester United. The athlete signed a contract for four years (19/08/10 to 19/08/2014) with the Peixe. The date of his presentation is still to be defined," the club informed in a statement on their official website.
"It is a pleasure to be in a club like Santos. It is a unique opportunity and I am going to work hard to give my very best here. I hope to play here for a long time," the player revealed after agreeing terms with the Sao Paulo outfit.
Possebon, 21, started his career at Internacional before moving to the Red Devils at the age of 18. He made a total of eight first team appearances for the English club, and also spent the previous season on loan at Portuguese club Braga. -
