Manchester United have to choose 25 senior players for their squad. Of which, at least 8 must be English or home grown players...
Looking at their full squad, it seems like United have enough and won't have any problems as the likes of Rafael, Fabio, Smalling, Macheda and Obertan won't be counted as one of the 25 as they are all 21 and below...
United can actually add another one or two foreigner to their squad...
To be honest, I wouldnt waste my time on Hargreaves if i were Fergie. It's obvious that he was a failed gamble and wouldn't recover from his terrible injury record. And even if he does, after being out of the game for so long, can he still play that well?
Remember Fernando Redondo formerly of AC Milan and Real Madrid's fame?
He was once considered the best defensive midfielder in the world with Real Madrid. Able to defend and lead an attack, it comes under no surprise that AC Milan got him for £11m. And then Redondo was consistently injured, most notably with knee problems, during his first two seasons there, and in fact managed to injure his knee just three minutes into his first treadmill session. He was out of action for 2½ years.
Hargreaves was an exact mould of Redondo. And he is almost out for 2 years now and i don't see how he would recover.
Fergie might want to invest on Ozil or try to get Mark Albrighton from Villa, he seems like a huge prospect.
