Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is the latest top boss to be impressed by Germany’s rising star Mesut Ozil.
The 21-year-old attacking midfielder has been one of the sensations of the World Cup and now his club, Werder Bremen, face a fight to keep him.
Ozil’s zest and energy is just what Ferguson is looking for as he looks to freshen up an ageing squad.
And he would come cheaper than the Old Trafford manager’s original target, Inter Milan’s Wesley Sneijder, although Werder Bremen are expected to ask at least £25million for the new kid on the international block.
Ozil has already expressed a desire to play in the Premier League.
He said: “To the top players the Premier League is attractive.
“You look at what Manchester United and Chelsea have achieved over the last five years.
“Trophies are what matters to me but these two teams are always at the top.”

Sir Alex Ferguson has made discreet enquiries about signing Real Madrid misfit Karim Benzema. And the Manchester United boss will follow up with a £25million bid if he gets the slightest encouragement from the Spanish side. Ferguson wants a striker as back up for Wayne Rooney, but has consistently refused to get involved in bidding for players he believes "don't offer value at the moment". He was desperate to sign French forward Benzema last summer, but missed out when he declined to meet his club Lyon's astronomical asking price of £35million.

Patrice Evra has been extra time off to recover from a draining season with United and France in which he clocked up 60 games. The Reds' World Cup players were all given three weeks off, says the Daily Star, but Pat has been given an extra week on top of that by Sir Alex to aid his recovery.
The Telegraph reports that Germany midfielder Mesut Ozil is considering a move from Werder Bremen to United or Chelsea.
The Daily Mail says Sir Alex and new Inter Milan boss Rafael Benitez are ready to lock horns again, this time over the future of Wesley Sneijder. The Inter midfielder has reportedly been offered a new deal at the San Siro, but the Mail says Sir Alex wants Holland's no.10 at Old Trafford.
Inter Milan last night confirmed that Manchester United want World Cup superstar Wesley Sneijder. Massimo Moratti, owner of the European champions, said: “The interest from Manchester United in Sneijder is real, but I didn’t find it tempting. I’m following him at the World Cup and I think I’ll do the same also at Inter for the next few years.” Mirror Sport revealed earlier this week that Sir Alex Ferguson was lining up a £25million bid to take the Treble-winning Dutchman to Old Trafford. Sneijder, under contract until 2013, was deemed surplus to requirements by Real Madrid last summer and snapped up by then Inter boss Jose Mourinho.

The Sneijder news dominates the papers today, although the Daily Star also run a piece on June's Soccer Aid charity game. It claims the match raised £2.75million for UNIECEF, more than double the total from 2008.

25 million pound? I think too little. If Sneijder won World Cup and claim golden boot..
His minimum value will be at least 40 million pound.
