Manchester United and Arsenal are ready to enter a bidding war to sign Borussia Dortmund defender Neven Subotic.
The Serbian's future at the Bundesliga side is in doubt after two impressive seasons at the Westfalenstadion, according to a report in Calciomercato.
With Nemanja Vidic refusing to commit his future with the Red Devils, it is believed that United manager Sir Alex Ferguson is eyeing Subotic as a suitable replacement for Vidic.
However, Sir Alex may have a competitor in the form of fellow Barclays Premier League side Arsenal for the £25 million centre-back.
Subotic joined Borussia for a reported fee of £3.3 million.
