United have O Shea as first choice RB, Wes Brown deputising, but he is always out injured. when O Shea was out, gary and rafael shared the workload, but due to rafael naivety, gary played and was exposed due to his lack of pace and age. Rafael is young and naive at 19, he got pace to burn, but his defending are as naive as his young age, not to mention his petulance and stupidity for kicking out and fouling, esp when he was already on a yellow. United need to invest and buy a new RB in the off season. also carrick time at united should be up, as he really gave the ball away and loses the ball in the middle of the field, exposing the back 4 to dangers.
Rafael's sending off this morning shows why we still need Gary Neville.
rest assured on account of his first 20 mins performance against ribery this morning, he will rule the RB position for years to come.
come on la, he is not a regular 1st teamer, I meant Rafael.
the only way is up, and he is going to get better.
Yes, this is disappointing cause to score 3 and still lose @ home. but hopefully, this is a battle scar that young Rafael will learn and rapidly mature.
all good.
Yes, hope he learnt his lesson well, esp in an important match as this. He retaliated after being brought down for his first yellow. retaliation is even worse then fouls to the ref, so he must bear that in mind the next time he is fouled unfairly, just stand out and move on with the game. when you are on a yellow, even if you are being exposed, do not needlessly pull or tackle down the opponent. which is worse, conceded a goal or a man down? I prefer conceding a goal rather than a man less. with 11 men, there is every chance the team will be able to find an equaliser rather than having a player less.
well, what U are saying now is logical and from a calm environment. but from his position, it may be too fast for him to comprehend and analyse so thoroughly. All these will only serve to toughen and hopefully, create a RB that MU can depend on for years to come.
seriously I dun mind if fergie were to go out and buy a new RB. micah richards fit the bill, as he can play both RB and CB. remains to be seen if fergie wants to buy a RB or man city wanting to sell to united of all clubs. this season so many players play at the RB, O shea, wes brown, gary, rafael and even fletcher played there for a few matches.
Daniel Alves or Maicon should be suitable choice!!!

yes with hindsight. need to sink in the reality. when rafael was sent off, I knew bayern would come back and score 1 more to make it 4-4 on aggregate and going thru. my worst fears were realised even before the match, as I have a strong feeling there will be no english teams in the semi finals since 2002-2003 season.

u think they will leave? even if they will, it will costs a bomb to buy them. their clubs wont sell one lar. what for they sell?

haha.. Micah to do a judas and move? Given Micah's physical power, why did he never figure regularly for England? Cause Micah's mental focus is poor, rem that led to MU's win over City when he went walkabout and Owen scored.
No established defenders will come cheap, else they are too old. Maybe this WC may bring one or two surprises but I don't have high hopes. Out of the names U listed, Rafael has the potential to do well. He reminds me of Evra, his speed, dribbling, and willing to attack, but at times, he tries to do too much. Hence he needs to have an old wise head to show him, none better than GaryNeville.
Seemingly, there are too many holes to plug @ MU at the moment, RB is not the top priority. IMHO, getting MU back from a one-rooney team to a multiple scoring team is key.
for discussion sake.
thats why fergie is interested in buying benzema. I hope angel di maria comes. if both of them come, united will be awesome next season. angel di maria can play at the left flank and benzema will partner rooney and rooney can even play behind benzema. nani can share the workload with valencia or even left flank when di maria need rest or is injured.
we need to find someone who is willing to buy berbatov heheh

sell him back to spurs
no1 mention about the AMC role, which united is sorely lacking in this department.Scholes has been holding this role for close decade and is entering to the twilight of his career..there seems to be no ready replacement in the squad.Anderson was brought in for this but hasn't blossomed into the player we have like to.He is at best a squad player,he is probably quite down in the packing order..worse off than Fletcher who was criticised alot.Carrick...haiz.Where is the old carrick who can pull off accurate passes?he keeps losing possession most of the playing time he has this season.
pirlo, although he is 30 years old. if scholes can play till 35, pirlo can play for united till he is 35 what, another 5 more years.
I think fergie will buy big after the world cup. I think he is targeting benzema and angel di maria. if both come next season, united will be very strong. sell berbatov and carrick to recoup some money for the purchases.
Unless Brown can someone convince Fergie that his injury-prone days are over, I'm pretty sure Fergie will go all out and purchase a right back.
I'm sorry but O'shea isn't good enough to command a regular XI spot, he's fine as a squad player definitely.
Neville, enough has been said about him.
I've already mentioned before that Rafael likes to rush into challenges, which showed against Bayern. If the challenge doesn't come through, he's screwed liao. I also don't get why he likes to stick so close to his opposition. Jeez. Happened time and time again liao, when will he learn...If he could only just learn this bit from G.Neville...

Might be too late after the WC. Prices will soar by then.
And you should know money has been a touchy issue of late at Old Trafford.
