Problem is, he just doesn't seem to work as hard as Rooney. And there's only so much that Park Ji-Sung can do to support in his advanced attacking midfield position.
I'd far rather go with a 4-4-2 with both Berba and Macheda up front.
Macheda should be ok, a big no to berbatov

Macheda playing alone? Not too sure about that, considering his youth and inexperience. I doubt Fergie would want to risk a must-win-or-die-trying match on him alone.
Anyway, in the end, I think it all boils down to two possible attacking options:
1. 4-5-1, with Berba or Macheda playing alone and Park in close support
2. 4-4-2, with both Berba and Macheda up front.
Any other options?
I have a bad feeling about this. united may be dumped out by bayern tonight, hope I am wrong. if that happens, no english teams in the semi finals of the CL since 2004.
United have a 40% / 60% chance to turn this around. But if they can't then too bad. We just have to accept it and get on with the season...
Yeah, I agree that should play Berba and Macheda together cos Berbatov is a better 2nd striker as he set up play much better... As for Macheda, that boy has some kind of luck with him...

if that happenes, concentrate on BPL liao lol. need spurs and liverpool to do united a favour by drawing or beating them. that said, united need to concentrate on its game by winning its game, esp against rival man city away. I am sure city would want to beat united at home and dent united title aspirations and improve their chances of finishing 4th.
Consider Munchen's away woes. Man U has high chance to overturn derelict. See how they almost lost to Fiorentina in aggrevate when they trailed 3-1 at Florence in 2nd-leg. But Man U is superior than Fiorentina. So, expect history won't happen again. Man U should be the team to proceed semi-finals, given the Old Trafford atmosphere.
Tipping on Man U -1.5 win
.... The scuffles between fans outside the ground before kick-off were quickly forgotten once the game got underway, with United looking to overturn a 2-1 deficit from the first leg.
Can we see a repeat of this? Same Scenario, we trailed 2-1 at the First Leg and gave Roma a good thrashing in the return leg at home..
United, make us proud. Glory Glory Man United.
All the English sides have fallen... Now its only left with United to carry the premier league's flag... Now, they are the last hope for English football...
Show hand lah man u, if can win this one, major moral booster
Bayern's record against united is good over the years.
I am sibeh worried to know if gary neville is playing. he is such a liability at RB, that I prefer rafael over him anytime. even if he is naive defensively. i will faint later if I see the other 2 oldies start against bayern. if they do, united is doomed.

Actually German's record against the English have been good over the years... lol.

Please stop complaining about Neville lah... He is United's 3rd choice and he has done reasonably well in the absent of O'Shea and Brown... Rafael may be fast but he is also naive in big European matches... Like how AC Milan got that last min goal... Young players sometime make more mistakes on the big stage... Just look at Arsenal's youngsters enough... Good as they are but 3 yrs straight they are beaten by big margins when come to important matches...
Line-up should be out very soon... Will put it up here once it's out... Stay tune...
ROONEY starting the match... lol
sure bo? miraculous recovery? why risks him? what if he break his ankle and out of the season and out of the world cup? capello must be praying hard rooney is still intact in one piece after the match.
i expected rooney to start, because i believe fergie is playing his mind game again

Nvm lah, that is Capello's problem...
But quite surprise Park is out and Gibson is in the starting 11. Maybe Fergie want him to hit those long range shots... lol.
No oldies starting today... Maybe that is why Fergie used them against Chelsea on Sun...
wah lau no oldies but got gibson omg? I hope gibson in a few seasons time, will turn out like fletcher. fletcher last time cannot make it, but these past 2 seasons, he worked really hard and is the most improved player. carrick after all these years, like stagnant and never really improve. his passes has gone from bad to worse.
Wah... Bayern is a very strong side. Got Ribery, Robben and Schweinsteiger, Lamn. But must keep an eye on Muller, i find they fellow rather good...
did rooney made a visit to that clinic over the weekend eh

Gibson can shoot from midfield mah... Fergie expecting a tight match i guess so got someone who can shoot from way outside the box could be a plus point...
put neville giggs and scholes out of the fuckin bench and field.
