knn carrick mistake in the closing minutes wolves did not take advantage of. soemtimes carrick sibeh slack or casual passing to the wolves player almost gift the wolves striker a chance to equalise, I thought it was going to go in, but heng sia, he ballooned the ball into the stands
carrick slack passing was not acceptable and I am sure he will have received his hairdryer treatment in the dressing room. -
this is my take on the match:
sometimes it worries me that we have to depend on golden oldies like scholes to win the match. carrick was as usual, inconspicuous and his slack clearance at the closing stages was unforgivable at this level.
Gibson is a player that man u must not keep. He can't tackle, can't split defences with passes and considering that he has a thunderous right foot, he couldn't even hit the target that night. His mere presence starves the united midfield of control and creativity.
Gary neville was constantly exposed on the right flank in the first half. Valencia as usual was reliable but there was no Rooney to meet his accurate crosses. Nani is disappointing everytime he plays on the left. He can't play on the left at all......poor Nani, Fergie is not doing him any good.
And van Der Sar was really steady. Without him, Man U would have lost at least 10 points already. Berbatov has really great skills, he reminds me of Zidane but sometimes I think he plays too deep.
They must really buy a creative midfielder next season.
