Milan tempted by Vid bid

  AC MILAN are ready to join the queue for Manchester United's unsettled defender Nemanja Vidic.

  And the Italian giants will offer Dutch striker Klaas Jan Huntelaar as a makeweight in the deal.

  Vidic, 28, is already a £20million target for Real Madrid at the end of the season, although United would like another £5m.

  Alex Ferguson has paved the way for Vidic's exit by signing £10m Fulham star Chris Smalling.

  The offer of Huntelaar, 26, in part exchange could appeal as United have been short of senior forwards all season.

  Dimitar Berbatov has been playing through the pain of a knee injury while Michael Owen's long-term future is still in doubt.

  despite all the media praise for him, i have never considered vidic to be in the class of stam, pallister, bruce etc. Prone to errors in big matches.

  Vidic is getting old so it might be ideal to cash out quickly. He is an excellent defender but he isn't world class yet. He has a weakness against pacy strikers and doesn't have the distribution ability of Rio Ferdinand who exhibits great defensive leadership. Both made a great pair but if he wants to go, I just have to say thank you for the services you have done for the Club.

  There is a reason why Fergie bought Smalling for 10 million pounds. Vidic is most likely leaving us soon :(

  agreed with ur... but at least he is alot better than Rio.... even more errors prone.... give mi 2 Vidic anytime.... rather than 2 Rio...

  if vidc is getting old, what about rio? so better cash out on rio first isnt it?
