now you have only valencia that can truly score from midfield. carrick score like 1 in 20 matches or something, as is scholes. anderson score like 1 in 50 matches lol.
united rest very heavily on Rooney and to a certain extent, berbatov. last season still got ronaldo and also tevez.

I think only 2 or 3 seasons back? Now the same players like lack steam alr.

united need to buy a creative midfielder, who can score quite a bit of goals from midfield. I think united will not win anything this season.

Probably not...Fergie seems content with Anderson/Gibson taking over Scholes in the future.

Gibson is not fit to wear the Jersey. Anderson/Carrick/Flecther will be our first choice midfielder. I gope Diouf proves to be a prolific striker. Against Burnley, we whipped a number of crosses but our strikers (rooney and berb) can't score any goal for the first 45min.

I had to sneak out from work to watch some parts of the game at the bar behind my workplace... I was lucky enough to catch the first and the last goals! Berba's goal was yummy and Diouf's was great! Beat the offside trap, too bad didn't get to see Rooney score =(

united should learn from barcelona the correct way of playing ie playing passing and short passing instead of long balls to the strikers. xavi and iniesta controlling the midfield, awesome, with messi running the show.
the question to that, MU doesn't have quality in the middle to do those things anymore. yes, we do see glimpses of brillance of those short, delicate passes, but they are far too few for my likings.

it's true, carrick tends to disappear for long spells in a game. Scholes and giggs lao liao.....all the creativity comes from the right side (valencia) when giggs is not playing.
Anderson is not consistent enough and is considered a failure becos he doesnt score goals. Nani is lacking on confidence.
I think chelsea and arsenal's squad more balanced.

you and I can see that, I am sure fergie can see that as well.
so the next buy ought to be a creative midfielder. I am not sure which midfielder will fit that bill?
