rooney is both the hero and villian in this match. scored and then back pass a ball to a hull player and than fabio fouled for a pk.
united played really badly with so many wayward & sloppy passing. maybe the players have eaten too many turkeys during christmas.

DIMITAR BERBATOV needs knee surgery which will rule him out for three months.
Manchester United's Bulgarian striker has a ligament problem.
Berbatov does not have to go under the knife straight away. But he has been playing through the pain barrier and surgery in the near future is deemed inevitable to solve the trouble.
It is another blow to boss Alex Ferguson, who has endured a spate of injuries this season. But it could mean more games for Michael Owen and lift his World Cup bid.

I think Fergie will try to push Berba till the transfer window where he can get a replacement while he's out. Maybe a loan deal?

Err... That was Rafael on the pitch last night Fabio was on the bench, or at least thats what the line-up says... lol.

United didn't play very well but the important thing here was they manage to come back and win. Hull made it very difficult last night. But with the more natural defenders in there, their defense was a lot better compare to the Fulham match where Carrick, Fletcher and De Laet were the 3 defenders...
The important thing for this period is to keep it going even if they play badly... Cos by next month, or 2 weeks time, Evans, O'Shea and Neville will be back as well giving them a more proper back line...
Looks like the most challenging period to the defense is coming to an end... And with the recovery and availability of these players... I think they will start to do better again...

three reasons, Park's energy, 2nd, he protects Rafa, 3rd, he links well with rooney.

agreed, in the pipeline, MU is getting a few key players back, hopefully, Rio too.
So effectively, it will be a lift to the team.
also, cheekily, with Wiley as the ref, i do see a few suspects calls... :P
and also, the weather seems too cold for Giggs/Valencia to be 'fired" up.
