After Giggs left and Owen and BBT came in, we lost the width... everything was played into the centeral area and that was where Villa was the strongest at today. -

Like I said, Aston Villa is seriously underrated.

Actually I kind of expected the result cos United's defense currently isn't good with high balls coming into the box area. Just a few days earlier, against the Germans, they were already exposed only the germans didn't take advantage of the free header thats all... That' why i said if United are going to win this, they must score more than them.
Anyway, I was very impress with Villa's performance. They hold up very well after they scored and I guess the 3 points would probably go a long way to helping them to that 4th spot.
On another note, I am quite relief Chelsea didn't open a bigger gap... It was very surprising Chelsea drop points to Everton yesterday... Well, that is the consolation I guess... But i still have them as the team to beat though...

this match can actually ended in a high scoring match, but united did not even score 1. they have chances to tie the score, but for rooney's shot hit the post, berbatov 1 shot saved by the goalie and the other fluffed volley and carrick's last min shot, haiz.
i was surprised when i saw park playing today and giggs left at half time. i was even shocked to see owen coming on at the start of the second half instead of berbatov. that said, villa played well and could have score 1 or 2 more.

4th loss of the season, sigh.....looks ominous, maybe it's chelsea's year.

yes. but dun rule out arsenal. if arsenal win both its 2 matches in hand, they tie with united on points. united also need to travel to emirates even though united have beaten arsenal at OT. chelsea also need to travel to anfield and OT in their return matches. this season will be very close. the winners come May next year may ended up losing 6-7 matches. chelsea already lost 3 matches and united 4 matches, as is arsenal.
