Agreed....man utd is not a place for "above average players". I used to think fletcher was above average....but he has really grown these few years. Captain of scotland some more. He's the next roy keane, less the temper.
Ben foster is quite good actually but shaky at times. I believe he will learn the steadiness of VDS in time to come.
And giggs! wow he's still got the legs!

if above average players can improve, can keep them as squad players, like o shea, utd utility player. but foster he will not be given time to proof himself as utd played in high tempo matches every week. foster kicking,, decision making and coming out to punch balls are things he need to improve fast.

roy keane is still learning...he ever said liam miller would fill his shoes haha

yeh these are the little things that add up and make a great keeper overall. VDS or schmeichel wld have kicked the ball out any other day.

i would rate barthez as better than foster. cos of his confidence in his skill, he chut some pattern in matches. as for foster, he is already limited in his skills, better dun chut pattern.
come to tink of it, i used to think nicky butt and paul scholes cmi when they were younger. And they have really grown since.
Fergie and Arsene share one thing in common: vision. Adebayor was nothing when he was at monaco. Same for fabregas from barca. Viera at ac milan too. OMG the list goes on.
I still feel english and UK players are not as talented than players from spain, italy or germany.
in UK and england, they focused to much on work rate than skills.

well, he's still 24 or 25. Give him another 1 more season...he may be the next gordon banks haha.
mezut ozil of germany is the next big thing....hahaha.

you mus be joking. goalie like Peter, Cech or VDS are all very tall, besides being talented. foster is 184cm, not imposing, doesnt look confident and kicking is not good, not to mention his atrocious punching of the ball. no way he is going to be gordon banks. if he is indeed no 1 when VDS retired, how many matches his error is going to costs utd when his mistakes can cost utd progress to CL final or league title won or lost cos of his mistakes.

how many first team games has he played? not that many. Peter shilton was much shorter if height's an issue.
he will learn. even david james had his fair share of jitters in those days.
not much, but he wont be given the time to learn and settle down until he is ready. the stage is too big for him to learn. utd need an experienced and world class goalie, not a good goalie with potential and young. how many more matches is he going to costs if today match is semi finals of CL, where away goal is crucial.
James is a decent goalie, but not a great one, and he made alot of howlers during his time at liverpool and was sold. he was also young, but why liverpool didnt kept faith in him them?

In fact, Fergie has proven he is a groomer, not a buyer.
I dun think fergie is confident in foster. I am not convinced he is the successor to VDS. dun think he will make the same mistakes in keeping faith with a good goalie, remember howard many seasons ago?

ok you shall see in the coming few matches where foster costs utd the points or matches until you are convinced he is not no 1 material at utd.
u get some u lose some when u groom but i am still a believer in Foster...
And another thing.. When the 6+5 rule comes in....
Foster place is confirmed.
I rather have faith in Robert Green than foster besides being experienced and older than foste due to the stupid 6-5 ruling.
i gave up and left home to collect something from my friend then i heard GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
nabei i knew i missed the winning goal...
DEFOE WANTS HIM TO DIE ASS

how u felt when you saw both foster and ferdinand chut pattern
i dont think foster is a good keeper. he has had his chances to prove his worth.
Ferdinand is just lazy lah. he know it himself. vidic knew it too.
no guessing who going to pay for the beers tonight.
yes foster will not be utd no 1. ferdinand so casually flicked to a city defender, dunno is it cocky or plain laziness or sheer stupidity.
A lot of our muslim friends were treated to a great match on Hari Raya...
After visiting and celebrating during the day and after having dinner... They were all treated to an exciting Manchester derby...
Must be a real memorable Hari Raya for all the muslim United fans not just here in Sg alone but in Malaysia and Indonesia as well... Happy Hari Raya Day...
Can't wait to see Fletcher partner with Owen Hargreaves in midfield...
it's still early days yet, until VDS recovers, foster still has time to prove his worth.
if u think ur smarter than fergie, then go replace him lol.
