Group B
Man Utd (Eng)
CSKA Moscow (Rus)
Besiktas (Tur)
Wolfsburg (Ger)
Very bad draw I feel... The 2 matches very long distant travel, while the 4th place side, suppose to be the easiest one... they get the German champions... wth
Edin Dzeko is one Utd have to watch out for.
I thought he was gonna leave for Milan, somehow Wolfsburg managed to hang onto him. :/
Not bad, great pick!
FERGUSON ... 'difficult ties'
The Premier League champions were pitted against CSKA Moscow, Besiktas of Turkey and German champions Wolfsburg in Group B - arguably the stiffest test for any of the English clubs.
The away game in Moscow on October 21 is four days before United's clash at bitter rivals Liverpool.
And the journey to Turkey on September 15 is also the same week as the Manchester derby.
Fergie said: "These are difficult ties. CSKA have developed strongly in the last few years and games in Turkey are always difficult."
uhm nt bad.. EPL champ vs German champ..
Travel to moscow 4 days before playing liverpool....wah....this is bad man..
oh ya, just recalled Wolfsburg got Obafemi Martins too.
Don't think anything can beat last season's fixture list la. I remember after every Champs League away game gotta play against a Top Half side...something like that.
CSKA Moscow's Brazilian striker Vagner Love has joined his former club Palmeiras on a one-year loan deal.
Vagner, 25, who started his career with Palmeiras, has been CSKA's top forward since joining for $8 million in 2004, helping the army club to two league titles and the UEFA Cup in 2005.
Palmeiras announced the deal on their official website with a CSKA spokesman adding that Vagner had left Russia for "family reasons".
He was the Russian league's top scorer last year but has not shown the same form this season.
Brazilian media said Vagner wanted to return to his native country to have a better chance of making Brazil coach Dunga's squad should they reach next year's World Cup in South Africa.
He has 18 caps but has not played for Brazil since 2007.
