what an unbelievably missed by fletcher? dunno how he can miss from such a close range with goalie no where to be found?
fletcher didnt played well at all, a lot of miss placed passed, but heck he is no passer of the ball, he is there to break up attack and do the dirty jobs.

FERDINAND OUT FOR A FORTNIGHT - FERGIE
Sir Alex Ferguson estimates central defender Rio Ferdinand will be out of action for two weeks after missing Manchester United's victory over Birmingham at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon.
Ferdinand was forced to pull out with a thigh injury, with Ferguson claiming before the game that his £29.1million defender will be going for a scan in the morning.
However, the United boss has now put a timescale on the problem, which would make the 30-year-old a doubt for England's World Cup qualifier with Croatia on September 9.
"I would imagine Rio will be out for two weeks," said Ferguson.
Without Ferdinand, United opened their Premier League title defence by beating Birmingham 1-0 courtesy of a first-half goal from Wayne Rooney.

but not necessarily match fit. the department that has the most injuries is the defence lol. ferdinand been injury prone in these last few years le.

*Yawn* Alot of chances created, not enough goals. The team has to work harder to gel together. I was so facking excited when I saw O'Shea as captain!!!!!!!

Actually Giggs, in my opinion, is quite disappointing. Didn't attack well, passing sucks and didn't track back to help Evra.

well, given it was first game, I think we have to take things in perspective.
Just imagine if U are in David Moyes' shoes.. at least, MU got 3points.
If I am not wrong, the next home game is vs Gunners, so a lot of loose ends to tie up.
Surprisingly, a few key players are "MIA", and I think SAF has his reason.
Just like putting brown in later, where he is not match fit, and he can give the manager option if he wants to put him as RB or CD.
Charlton Palmer did made some good points about how Nani played and how different it was to Ronaldo. Perhaps Nani is not fully recovered hence, he is not as aggressive as b4.
Anyway, let's give the team some time to gel.
