CROCK SHOCK ... Van der Sar is sidelined
The Manchester United keeper underwent surgery yesterday.
Van der Sar, 38, picked up the injury saving a penalty in the Audi Cup game with Bayern Munich last Thursday.
It is a blow for the Dutchman, who is expected to announce his retirement at the end of this season.
Ben Foster now has a chance to stake his claim between the sticks, starting with the Community Shield clash against Chelsea on Sunday.
Hopefully ben foster can cover for him successfully without making any more blunders..
Wow the fella who took the PK must have zham-ed the ball pretty hard.
Oh the PK taker was Danijel Pranjic...IIRC, VDS used his legs to save that PK. Must have been an awkard landing then.
well, let's hope he recovers fast, but a good opportunity for Foster.
SHIT!
Oh man... The games VDS could miss...
August
15 Birmingham (H)
18 Burnley (A)
22 Wigan (A)
29 Arsenal (H)
September
12 Tottenham (A)
19 Man City (H)
26 Stoke (A)
I tell you guys I am still very unsure of this Foster... Vds could miss 3 important matches... Arsenal, Spurs and City. Hopefully he will be back when they meet Pool.
Me not sure of Foster too.. Kushack did some nice saves last night.. He seems more composed then Foster.. Sometime both also spider.. Sian..
well you could see it if foster can take over from VDS once he decides to call it a day. this is the time for foster to show how capable he is to claim the no 1 spot. if he fails during VDS absence, then he is not no 1 material lor, then time for fergie to buy buffon or cech when VDS retire.
