Manchester United have handed a trial to Swedish starlet Linus Sjoberg.
The 15-year-old midfielder is currently with Vasteras but he has been spotted by United's Scandinavian scouting network.
The Premier League champions have now made an offer and Sjoberg is expected to link up with United on trial later this summer.
"You have to be cautious dealing with the social and footballing parts as the social environment is important when you are younger," agent Martin Klette told Fotbollskanalen.
"There are both good and bad foreign clubs as there are good and bad Swedish clubs.
"People have a tendency to focus on younger players that have had problems abroad and forget that there are very good clubs to grow in abroad."
... SAF shld stop signing unknown and sign some stars...
When did people start using "starlet" to apply to males? God, journalists are going down the drain.

well, mix them with the old players and mature them fast lor.
to be fair, next season, it will be difficult without Ronaldo. so let's focus on maxmising what MUFC got. Have to look long term. If U don't sign talented youths, and they get snapped up, then U need to dig ur pockets and buy ready-made. In the long run, not a good plan.
this season the market is spoilt by RM and Man City lar, esp RM spent so much on Ronaldo and Kaka.
Linus Sjoberg's agent has claimed AC Milan have joined the race for the Swedish starlet's signature.
The gifted 15-year-old midfielder, who is contracted to Vasteras, is currently enjoying a week-long trial at Manchester United.
Sjoberg is considered a huge prospect in Sweden, and Jonsson has claimed Serie A giants Milan are among his suitors.
"Milan have also declared their interest, that is correct," Sjoberg's agent Per Jonsson told Fotbolldirekt.
"We chose to let him start at United but Milan is also an option. They think he is extremely interesting and are impressed most by his technique."
Speaking of his time at United, Sjoberg told VLT: "It's wonderful. Really cool to practice with United, it's the biggest club in the world."

The Italians are sniffing round the midfield wonderboy from Swedish Division One side Vasteras, even though he has been on trial at Manchester United and is keen to join.
