Manchester United and Molde F.K. are pleased to announce that they have agreed terms for the transfer of Mame Biram Diouf.
Mame Biram Diouf is to attend a medical in Manchester next week with a view to joining the club in January. Until that time he will remain with Molde F.K. on loan.

unknown again?
they want to make more Ronaldos. but i hope SAF knows, miracles do not always happen.
From wiki:
“We signed a young player yesterday from Norway, who we’ve been looking at for two years,” Sir Alex Ferguson said.
“We weren’t intending on signing anyone else after last week – we feel we have a full squad – but the situation accelerated to a point where other clubs started to make bids, so we had to decide whether we acted or didn’t act.
We decided to act and he’ll be the last person we sign.”

yes. all known and unknown players have risks. look at the expensive top players like veron and shevchenko, big reputations before they came to BPL.

Like kanna forced to buy.
From skysports:
Diouf has reportedly interested the likes of Arsenal, Ajax and PSV in the past while Tottenham are thought to be one of the clubs who tabled a bid for the frontman.
Attention in the youngster developed last weekend when Diouf netted a hat-trick in the first nine minutes of a Norwegian league clash against Brann before he added another in a 5-2 win.
The new United arrival has scored 30 league goals from 62 games since signing for Molde, the same club United signed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer from, in 2007.
Potential
Molde manager Kjell Jonevret is confident Diouf has the potential to succeed at Old Trafford and was delighted that the player would remain for the remainder of the Norwegian season.
"This is fun for all of us in Molde, fun for Mame and not least for his family in Senegal," he told NG Nett.
"That he will stay with us for the rest of the season is really important to us.
"Mame is an interesting player that I have worked with for two years. I don't know what plans United have for him, but he has a great potential.
"Mame is good now, but he can be even better."
Lol... Sign some known player SAF.
till this day, I still dunno why fergie go buy manucho in the first place, as he was already 20 plus unknown then. probably I can surmised that he was looking for a reserve striker for the first team.
for Dong, I can understand that maybe can target china market in terms of selling merchandising and branding in china.
probably following the lead of wenger, buy young talented players and then bring them over to train them and hopefully can make it in a few years time, if not squad players like wes brown and O shea. if they dun make it, can sell them to the likes of Hull, Sunderland and Ipswich or whichever team Keano is in charge lol
any relation to the serial spitter??
lol he poled himself in the video after a header, poor boy

Tor-Kristian Karlsen, a Norwegian football scout who has worked for several leading European clubs, gives us the lowdown on Mame Biram Diouf, Molde's Senegalese forward who was signed today by Manchester United. Robert Dineen asks the questions.
Sir Alex Ferguson had said he would not make any further signings this summer. Were you surprised that he moved for Diouf?
There had been much speculation over the past week that he would leave Norway as he scored four goals in Molde's most recent home game in front of about 20 scouts but nobody expected him to go to United.
He had been linked with clubs in Germany and Holland while FC Copenhagen, the biggest club in Scandinavia, had made a bid but he seems to have skipped a rung on the career ladder by signing for United.
How did the signing come about?
Diouf's agent has helped several young players move to United's academy so they had a relationship with him but the strongest link was with Ole Gunnar Solkskjaer, the United reserve team manager who used to play for Molde. You suspect he will have alerted Sir Alex about Diouf and about the increased interest in him over the past few days.
What kind of player is Diouf?
He is centre forward with attributes that make him a very exciting prospect. He is extremely strong, quick and excellent in the air. In his first two seasons at Molde, he had played on the right wing without making a great impact, partly because he was profligate in front of goal. But he switched to centre forward this season and his finishing is hugely improved.
Is he good enough for United?
He certainly has the qualities needed to adapt to the quicker tempo and increased physical demands of English football. He is also popular with team-mates and fans, which suggests he has the personality needed to adapt to the spotlight.
But I'm not sure how close he would get to the United first team and he may have been better served by moving to a side in the middle or lower end of the Premier League.
The fee has not been disclosed. How much is he worth?
Before United moved for him, he was expected to fetch about £2 million but speculation suggests Sir Alex will pay closer to £4 million, beginning with a lump sum and further instalments based on appearances. That would present quite a profit on a player that Molde recruited from an academy in Dakar.
Juz hope he would turn out good. Man utd still got kiko and welback though.
well, if he can perform as Ole, enough liao..
hopefully, he is more a team player, like Ole.
