United preparing to make a £20million raid for Huntelaar

ALEX FERGUSON is preparing to make a £20million raid for Real Madrid striker Klaas Jan Huntelaar.
The Manchester United boss had his eye on the Dutchman before he joined the La Liga side from Ajax in January.
But Huntelaar, 25, has struggled to make an impact after scoring 113 goals in 136 games in Holland.
He failed to make Real's Champions League squad. And he has fallen further down the pecking order following the arrivals of Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka and Karim Benzema.
Now Fergie, who had the player scouted all last year, is ready to make a new bid to land him after losing out on Benzema.
United will have to match the £20m Madrid paid for the hitman.
An Old Trafford source said: "Huntelaar is somebody we have known about for a good while. There was more than a passing interest last time out."

Actually he has done rather well in Madrid... Real would be silly to sell him as of his 6 months there, the first 2, 3 wasn't great but he has started to score in the later half of his time there probably because he was more settled in by then...
Playing in 20 matches and scoring 8 times is quite a good record... If we take away the first 5 or 8 matches when he didn't do well... His record is actually very good... Real are just silly... Maybe the new president really don't like the dutch players... and plan to get rid of them one by one...

I believe he'll be a good player to have. MU coaches can certainly help him to improve his weaknesses. What we are lacking last season is a finisher to finish off the many chances begging to be put into the opponents' nets and he certainly fit the bill without costing too much.
