Manchester United's veteran keeper, 38, has discussed his plans with friends and family and will break the news to Alex Ferguson when he returns to pre-season training.
England squad man Ben Foster, 26, is now finally set to get the chance to shine.
A United source said: "Edwin has reviewed his options after each season and thinks this could be his last year.
"He is determined to go out at the top and is raring to go next season."
so sad :(
he really done enough for Man United. Good Luck Edwin!
yep, he should have come earlier.. but a great servant none the least, esp in Moscow..
fergie wanted to buy him after schmeical retired in 99, but he joined juventus and then fergie went to buy taibi and bosnich was signed on for free from villa. then juventus bought buffon and then VDS was sold to fulham and man utd bought barthez haiz...
foster cannot be no 1 lar after VDS retired. he is too injury prone and sometimes out for 2-3 months.
need to sign someone like buffon or cech.
good Gkers are hard to come by, even our great dane was unearth from somewhere..
