Brazil legend Carlos Alberto has accused Manchester United of ‘raping Brazilian football’ as reports claim they have signed Dodo.
United have already brought in Brazilian youngsters Rafael, Fabio and Rodrigo Possebon and now look set to clinch a £5.4m deal for 17-year-old Corinthians defender Dodo.
And Alberto, the captain of the World Cup-winning Brazil side in 1970, has urged Fifa to prevent young players being allowed to leave.
“It is disgraceful United are allowed to rape Brazilian football,” he said in the News of the World.
“The big teams have the money and can take our best players. It is a big problem in Brazil.
“The clubs cannot keep good young players because they can make much more money in other countries.
“They should change the law so, at least until the age of 20 or 21, the best players play in Brazil and get experience before moving to Europe.
“Fifa must do something. They have an obligation to save football.”
Possibon,Raf,Fab and Anderson... only 4 Brazilian players this fella kpkb so much about MU having too much Brazilian players.
just wondering, in the past, these south americans were often sold to italian clubs and etc, why no complains then?
lame la.
Utd willing to buy; brazillian clubs willing to sell; players willing to come, then what's the big deal?
Its not like either party are not willing or wat.
the important thing is whether they make it big anot. if they dont, they end up going to a lesser club.
they look good in utd jersey (:
