ON TOP ... Nemanja Vidic has been named United's No1 this season
The Welshman picked up the PFA Player of the Season crown last month. But he was pipped to United's Players' and Fans' Player of the Year titles by Serbian defender Vidic.
Winger Giggs said: "Consistently throughout the season he's been brilliant."
Vidic, 27, admitted he was shocked to do the double. He said: "It's a great night for me. I'm honoured. "It has been a really good year.
"It's amazing to get these awards when I consider the quality of the players I play alongside. "I'd like to say thank you to the fans and to my team-mates.
"I enjoy being here every day and playing with these players and working with the coaches. I'm very happy here at United."
"To be honest I don't have so many individual awards. "That's why I am a bit confused and my speech is not the best. Next time my speech will be a bit better."
Cristiano Ronaldo won the goal of the year award for his 40-yard strike at Porto.
Striker Federico Macheda landed the Academy Player of the Year while defender James Chester was Reserve Player of the Year.

Nemanja Vidic was literally speechless after scooping both Manchester United's player of the year awards last night.
Ryan Giggs may have scooped the PFA award, but his Old Trafford team-mates voted Vidic their top star, as did the fans.
But the towering centre half was clearly not expecting the honours. Having seemingly not prepared any words for the occasion, he said: 'It's a great night. It has been a really good year. I am surprised I got it but I have really enjoyed it.
'To be honest I don't have so many individual awards. That's why I am a bit confused and my speech is not the best. Next time my speech will be a bit better.'
Carlos Tevez was a notable absentee at the awards dinner, a further indication that his career at Old Trafford is coming to an end.
Vidic, a key figure at the back in United's Barclays Premier League triumph and their run to the Champions League final, has also made his presence felt at the other end of the field, scoring some crucial goals.
