United will visit Indonesia for the first time in more than 30 years during this summer's pre-season tour of Asia.
The Reds will play a game against Indonesia All Star at Jakarta's Gelora Bung Karno Stadium on July 20, kick-off time to be confirmed.
It's the second of four friendlies the team will play in the Far East in July. The other games are against a Malaysia XI (July 18), FC Seoul (July 24) and Hangzhou Greentown (July 26).
Former Indonesian FA chairman Agum Gumelar, who will head up the local promotion of the game, said: “I am proud to announce an event that is likely to be Indonesia’s event of the year in 2009 – a football match featuring the world club champions Manchester United.
"This is an important opportunity to promote Indonesia to the world. Indonesia deserves the best and I am glad to say we have the best!�
