MANCHESTER UNITED defender Patrice Evra admits he would love to take on Lionel Messi in the Champions League final.
The Frenchman knows a clean sheet in the semi-final second leg at Arsenal next week would book a place in the Rome showpiece.
But while he is focused on the job in hand, the 27-year-old admits he would prefer to see Messi's Barcelona dump Chelsea out of the competition.
Evra said: "I can play against a player like Messi. I don't fear anybody, I just play my game.
"But it's too soon to start thinking about that. We have to play well in the second leg at Arsenal and then we can start to think about our dream.
"I watched the other semi-final and Chelsea defended very well. They have given themselves a good chance at Stamford Bridge."
