Ronaldo had alot of chances, I didn't watch 2nd half tho.

And secondly, Giggs scored, not an offsite, MU was robbed again. I hope it doesn't come back to haunt MU.
Tatically, MU played well, by using 5 at midfield, they were able to put gunners at arm's length. Everywhere you can see eagerness, energy and committment.
A pity, MU did not turn all that into more goals.

i predict a draw for the return leg , MU will not go for a win , they won't waste energy and resources to do that .... and i think they will have more time defending than attacking .
That's what arsenal will do .... but if MU brought a leaked pipe into Emirates , if first half 1-0 to Arsenal , i think MU will go on to lose to Arsenal .

Nah.. Devils always have a problem with playing a defensive game.. The best way to defend for us is to attack..

I am very pleased with the performance and the result... Although 1 - nil might seem like not much, it could have been worse, like a draw or even a lost...
The most important thing last night was a clean sheet... By preventing gunners an away goal, Arsenal will be very worry to concede any goal in the 2nd leg. But with United, you know the chances of scoring in the 2nd leg is very high. So the gunners will have to seriously consider their defence apart from having to score...
My take is, if United play the way they did again next week, They will go through... Another thing is, the Arsenal defence is really poor apart from some good goalkeeping...

why would MU want a defensive game? by scoring one goal at emirates, gunners will see a 3-0 scoreline.. they would be worried too..
Also, not sure what picture U trying to paint, a "neutral" or etc, but heavy dose of sour grapes linger.
Perhaps U want to start a new topic in YNWA or YWCA, or something, and start discussing what to do for next season.. maybe more fruitful.

to be fair, can see SAF trying a few combos.
Tevez, Rooney, and then Berba, and then Ronaldo upfront.
Tevez is hardworking but I have to say, when Berba came into picture, he was able to retain more of the ball, and seemingly, now, he is able to release the ball to the faster players sooner. So he may be crucial in the 2nd leg, when Gunners will be preparing their storm..
Only concern, is Rio.

The first of 3 games against the gunners in 18 days... 1 - nil to United... Not bad, not bad...
Like I said, the result could have been worse had Almunia prevented O'Shea's shot too... To be fair, The shots from Tevez and Ronaldo were much harder to save than the O'Shea one... But the easier one got in instead or it would have been a goalless match for United...
Almunia had a clear look at it but still couldn't stop it from passing him...
John O'Shea's 17th-minute goal is all that separated the teams in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final.

U should just dig a hole and stuff ur head in it.
I am saying the referee is good but the linesman got it wrong. He was not taking any ronaldo's nonsense, and soon, ronaldo played and chase harder.
As to MU winning cos of ref, after webb sent off Vidic and Ronaldo, a penalty is small consolation.
Read before you make any noise for it just sounds stupid when U post.
